NAESB Privacy Policy:

This privacy policy applies to www.naesb.org owned and operated by North American Energy Standards Board (“NAESB”). This privacy policy describes how NAESB collects and uses the personal information you provide on our web site: www.naesb.org. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information.

Your privacy is important to NAESB. In general, you can visit NAESB on the web without revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you. For example, your name, company, title, telephone number and email address for registration to the NAESB Mail online subscription service or your credit card information to access training courses. It is NAESB's intent to let you know before we collect personal information from you on the Internet. You may choose not to utilize those services that require that you provide personal information.

If you elect to participate in NAESB Mail subscription service, you will receive targeted e-mail messages from the NAESB Office about relevant NAESB events, including conference-calling information, as well as important documents.

If you elect to print any form from the NAESB web site and fax or mail it to NAESB, any personal information collected will be treated in the same manner and receive the same protections as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Technologies such as: cookies, tags and scripts are used by NAESB. Tags are used by our privacy certification partner. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.

NAESB utilizes temporary cookies during the e-mail registration process. These session cookies are only used to facilitate the registration process and do not collect or pass any information about your PC or personal information back to NAESB. These cookies are automatically removed from your PC when you close your browser program. Cookies must be enabled in order to complete the NAESB e-mail registration.

If a user's personal information changes (such as phone, email or postal address), if a user wants to manage his/her subscriptions by adding or removing a specific mailing list, or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' personal information, this can be done at the NAESB Mail Account Management page or by calling the NAESB office at 713-356-0060 and ask for the Mailing List Administrator. Additionally these instructions will be appended to the bottom of every NAESB targeted e-mail message.

We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. We will also list you in our publicly accessible member directory. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, or remove your information from our directory, you can contact us at naesb@naesb.org

NAESB is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Please contact us at 713-356-0060 if you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

NAESB does not sell nor share personal information about individual members (such as name, address, email address) to third parties. NAESB does not sell or rent lists of members or use information about individual members outside the scope for NAESB. NAESB reserves the right to disclose aggregated information regarding its members.

NAESB may make changes to the way the NAESB site uses or collects personal information. Notification of any changes to the NAESB Privacy Policy will be posted on the NAESB home page in bold letters. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email or by means of a notice on the website prior to the change becoming effective.

The NAESB web site contains links to third-party web sites. Please read the privacy policy of any third-party linked site as it may differ from the NAESB Privacy Policy. The linked sites are not under the control of NAESB and NAESB is not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. NAESB provides these links as a convenience and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked site by NAESB.

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data.

We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others and investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

If NAESB is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
